The Parkland Pirates Aquatic Club is currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated coaches to join our growing coaching team.
We are hiring Part-Time Competitive Swim Coaches to work with our:
- Pre-Competitive Groups
- Foundations Division
- Identity Division
These groups focus on developing strong technical fundamentals, positive training habits, and a lifelong love of swimming within a team-oriented environment.
Position Details
- Afternoon and evening coaching hours
- Some weekend availability required for swim meets and team events
- Opportunity to work within one of Alberta’s fastest-growing swim programs
- Supportive coaching environment with mentorship opportunities
Responsibilities
- Teach and reinforce proper stroke fundamentals and racing skills
- Lead organized, energetic, and engaging swim practices
- Support athlete development in a positive and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff
- Assist with swim meets and team functions
- Help create a culture of accountability, effort, and team pride
Qualifications
- Swimming 101 (Level 1) Certified (required)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Passion for coaching and athlete development
- Competitive swimming background considered an asset

Part-Time Learn to Swim Instructor
The Parkland Pirates Aquatic Club is looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable instructors who love working with children and want to make a positive impact through swimming.
We are currently hiring Part-Time Learn to Swim Instructors to join our growing aquatics team.
Position Details
- Part-time positions available
- Afternoon and evening shifts Monday–Friday and Saturday mornings

Responsibilities
- Teach swimmers fundamental aquatic and water safety skills
- Create engaging, energetic, and positive lesson environments
- Build swimmer confidence through encouragement and instruction
- Communicate professionally with parents, swimmers, and staff
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
- Represent the Parkland Pirates with professionalism and enthusiasm
Qualifications
- Learn to Swim Certification preferred
- SwimAmerica Certification preferred
- Candidates with both certifications are strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Self-motivated and energetic personality
- Passion for teaching and working with children
