Jennifer Thistle

Group Coach

Coach Jenn brings a lifelong passion for aquatic sport and athlete development to the pool deck. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and is a Swimming 101 Certified coach, along with holding ASCA (American Swimming Coaches Association) Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. 


Jenn has a background as a competitive swimmer, which laid the foundation for her coaching career and deep understanding of the sport. She has also competed in triathlon events, giving her experience in multi-sport training, endurance development, and the mental resilience required for competition.


Throughout her coaching career, Jenn has worked with several swim teams and a wide range of athletes. Her experience includes coaching with a para swim team, where she developed inclusive coaching strategies and individualized approaches to support athletes with diverse abilities.


Coach Jenn is passionate about creating a positive, supportive, and technically focused training environment. She emphasizes proper stroke technique, athlete confidence, and long-term development while helping swimmers reach their personal goals in and out of the water. Her coaching philosophy centers on building strong fundamentals, fostering resilience, and encouraging a lifelong love of swimming.


When not on the pool deck Coach Jenn can likely still be found around water. She enjoys paddleboarding, camping, chasing her many Nieces and nephews around, and spending time with friends and family. Coach Jenn continues to work in recreation therapy as a therapy assistant and provides support to students in the Parkland School Division as an Educational Assistant.

Zoe van Keulen

Group Coach

Coach Zoe brings a strong background as both a competitive swimmer and coach to the pool deck. Zoe swam with the Parkland Pirates for 6 years before transitioning into coaching, giving her a strong understanding of the club and the sport from an athlete’s perspective.


Zoe has experience coaching with Pee Wee Pirates, as well as junior and senior summer club groups. She is a Swimming 101 Certified Coach and is passionate about helping swimmers develop strong technical skills, build confidence, and enjoy the sport.


Zoe believes in creating a positive and supportive environment where swimmers feel encouraged to challenge themselves and work toward their individual goals. She enjoys helping athletes develop not only as swimmers, but also as confident and well-rounded individuals.


When she’s not on the pool deck, Zoe enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family. She is excited to continue developing as a coach while giving back to the sport that has played such an important role in her life.

Angie Gordon

Group Coach

Sadie Mouser

Group Coach

Sadie brings a strong swimming background and a passion for helping young

athletes build confidence in the water. She believes that swimming should be

centered around fun, encouragement, and creating a positive environment where

swimmers feel supported and motivated to grow.


Sadie has previously worked with the Parkland Pirates Aquatic club, where she

coached pre-competitive swimmers to help them develop water confidence and a

love for the sport. More recently, Sadie coached with the Spruce Grove Barracudas,

where she continued to encourage athletes into young confident swimmers.


Competitive swimming has been a part of Sadie’s life since she was seven years old.

She has swum with both the Olympian Swim Club and the Parkland Pirates Aquatic

Club, gaining valuable experience and a strong foundation in the sport.

Sadie focuses on creating an environment that is positive, encouraging, and

rewarding, helping swimmers build both their skills and their confidence while

enjoying their time in the pool.
